Hardin County Residents Present Papers at Lindsey Wilson College Academic Symposium

COLUMBIA, Ky. (04/18/2025) — Two Hardin County residents recently presented research at an academic symposium.
Yesh Singayao '27 of Vine Grove, Kentucky, and Zoe Wilson '26 of Rineyville, Kentucky, presented their work at the 2025 Spring Symposium of the Lindsey Wilson College R.V. Bennett Honors Program. The symposium was held Thursday, April 17, at the college's Honors House.
Singayao, a political science major, presented "Praying for Judgement Day: A Historiographical Analysis of Apocalyptic Worldviews During the Reformation." Singayao's work examined interpretations of how the apocalypse has been viewed by several Protestant faiths and connections with modern understandings. He worked on the project under the guidance of Lindsey Wilson Assistant Professor of History Caleb Wittum.
Wilson, an elementary education major, studied "The Active Brain: How Exercise Impacts Brain Function and Literacy Instruction." In her work, Wilson explored the connection between physical activity and learning among elementary school students. She worked on the study under the direction of Assistant Professor of Physical Education Eric T. Moore.
The Lindsey Wilson R.V. Bennett Honors Program enriches students' education by providing challenging and engaging curricular and co-curricular experiences. It is a member of the National Collegiate Honors Council and the Kentucky Honors Roundtable, where Lindsey Wilson students regularly present their work.
