Lindsey Wilson University Students Express Their Voices in a Crowd

10 Blue Raiders perform in 2026 All-Collegiate Honor Choir concert at Kentucky Center for the Arts.

COLUMBIA, Ky. (02/10/2026) — A group of Lindsey Wilson University recently discovered the beautiful sound that can be created when a hundred voices sing together.

The 10 Lindsey Wilson students were part of the 2026 All-Collegiate Honor Choir, which performed Feb. 5 at Whitney Hall of the Kentucky Center for the Arts in Louisville. The concert was part of the meeting of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.

Lindsey Wilson student Anna Kate Alexander '29 of Glasgow, Kentucky, said that performing in a 100-voice choir "was amazing."

"I keep telling people what an incredible experience it was because we got to sing with these talented students from other colleges and universities throughout Kentucky," said Alexander, who was a second soprano in the ensemble. "I got to meet people from all over the state and international students as well."

Lindsey Wilson Director of Choral Activities Jennifer Bersaglia said the members of the university's dectet did an excellent job representing their school's musical skills and talents.

The Lindsey Wilson students auditioned for the musical group, then practiced 30 minutes before their regular campus rehearsals. They also attended a seven-hour rehearsal in Elizabethtown, plus two days in Louisville leading up to the Feb. 5 concert.

"It was glorious in its product," said Bersaglia, who attended the meeting and the concert.

For Reilly Wells '26 of Columbia, the concert was a perfect way to cap off her Lindsey Wilson vocal experience, which had included being a member of the select Lindsey Wilson Singers.

"This was one of the most amazing experiences that Singers has given me," said Wells, who was a first alto in the statewide choir. "There is something just so special about colleges and universities coming together across the state to create and perform something that beautiful."

Both Alexander and Wells said their favorite piece in the 45-minute concert was "Stars," by renowned Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds.

"The message was special to all of us, since all of us hope to shine bright like stars after graduating," said Wells.

In addition to Alexander and Wells, representing Lindsey Wilson in the 2026 All-Collegiate Honor Choir were: Lucas Baerg '29 of Columbia, second tenor; Brandon Grider '28 of Columbia, second bass; Anna Johnson '28 of London, Kentucky, second soprano; Leeshawn Johnson '26 of Louisville, first bass; Polakrit Pawichai '28 of Columbia, second tenor; Sabrina Ruiz '26 of Louisville, first alto; Natalie Stearns '27 of Columbia, first soprano; and Brinkley Todd '27 of Louisville, first alto.
