'Then and Now' features diverse range of artwork by LWU alumni in the Lucretia C. Begley Art Gallery.

COLUMBIA, Ky. (11/19/2025) — A diverse range of artistic expressions and mediums are on display through Dec. 13 in the Lucretia C. Begley Art Gallery at Lindsey Wilson University.

The show, "Then and Now," features 15 pieces of art by Lindsey Wilson alumni. The works of art include paintings, watercolors, digital work, fiber, mixed media, photography and porcelain. The pieces were created by Lindsey Wilson alumni who gradauted from the school from the 1960s into the 2020s.

The purpose of the show was to "connect the creativity of our diverse base of alumni with their alma mater so that our students, faculty, staff and guests can enjoy their work," said Lindsey Wilson Performing Arts Director Kristyne Gilbert.

Since the show opened in late October, Gilbert said it has received a warm response.

"This show has been a wonderful way to showcase the artistic talent of our alumni," said Gilbert. "Some of the pieces were created by alumni who work in art; others were created by alumni who have stayed connected to art over the years."

"Then and Now: Alumni Fine Arts Show" is on display in the Lucretia C. Begley Art Gallery through Dec. 13. The Lucretia C. Begley Art Gallery is located in the Lindsey Wilson University W.W. Slider Humanities Center. Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. CT Monday-Friday and by special appointment. For more information about the 2025-26 Lucretia C.
