Lindsey Wilson University's Inaugural 'Worship on the Hill' to be Presented Sunday, Oct. 18

Musical event to feature performances by Lindsey Wilson Singers, Concert Choir, guest soloists.

COLUMBIA, Ky. (10/15/2026) — The director of the Lindsey Wilson University Singers hopes an upcoming Oct. 18 musical event will become an annual affair on campus.

The Singers will be part of a debut of "Worship on the Hill" at 7:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 18, in V.P. Henry Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

The evening of music -- which will include a variety of spiritual and sacred compositions featuring Southern and urban gospel, modern hymns and contemporary Christian music -- will spotlight performances by the Lindsey Wilson Singers, as well as the Lindsey Wilson Concert Choir, and guest soloists Benson Sexton '04, Leah Sexton, Brinkley Crook '27 and Gabe Coleman '30.

A song will also be performed in Spanish in honor of Lindsey Wilson campus ministries' annual mission trip to the Dominican Republic.

Members of Mosaic Campus Ministries will also participate in the inaugural event, as well the university's John Wesley Scholars.

Lindsey Wilson Director of Choral Activities Jennifer Bersaglia hopes the pieces of the Oct. 18 concert will add up to an event that will become an annual autumn tradition on campus.

"It will be a wonderful partnership between the many elements of our vibrant campus ministry," said Bersaglia. "It's all about bringing together different elements of the university for a special evening of music and worship."
