Russell County Resident Serves as Lindsey Wilson University Student Teacher

Chloe Taylor spends spring semester as student teacher at Green County High School.

Columbia, KY (05/08/2026) — Chloe Taylor, an English secondary education senior from Russell Springs, Kentucky, was a student teacher this spring at Green County High School.

Taylor graduated from Lindsey Wilson on May 2 with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education, magna cum laude.

During their senior year, Lindsey Wilson education majors spend a semester serving as a student teacher at an area school to help them prepare for the profession.

"Student teaching is where our future educators transform knowledge into meaningful practice," said Lindsey Wilson University Director of Education Jennifer Antoniotti-Neal. "The schools and teachers that welcome our students play a vital role in mentoring future teachers. Through these partnerships, our students gain invaluable experience, and our communities benefit from the shared commitment to excellence in education."

For three of the last four years, 100% of Lindsey Wilson graduates passed the Praxis teacher certification exam.

Lindsey Wilson's education program has been nationally recognized for its work to prepare teachers. Recent honors include receiving the 2025 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, also known as CAEP, which is a national body that accredits educator preparation providers.

Lindsey Wilson University is a vibrant liberal arts university in Columbia, Kentucky. Founded in 1903 and affiliated with The United Methodist Church, the mission of Lindsey Wilson is to serve the educational needs of students by providing a living-learning environment within an atmosphere of active caring and Christian concern where every student, every day, learns and grows and feels like a real human being. Lindsey Wilson offers 30 undergraduate majors, five graduate programs and a doctoral program. The university's 29 intercollegiate varsity athletic teams have won more than 120 team and individual national championships.
