Lindsey Wilson University Beats Campbellsville 40-13 in First Women's Flag Football Game Played at Parnell Family Stadium
Blue Raiders never trail in inaugural Battle of Highway 55 flag football game; LWU improves to 4-1 overall.
COLUMBIA, Ky. (03/14/2026) — The Lindsey Wilson University women's flag football team made history in a big way on Friday, March 13, with a 40-13 win over rival Campbellsville (Kentucky) University in the Battle of Highway 55 at Parnell Family Stadium. It was the first home women's flag football game in university history.
Lindsey Wilson, playing their inaugural season, improved to 4-1 with the win. Campbellsville fell to 3-7.
The Blue Raiders never trailed in the game. Lindsey Wilson scored a touchdown on their first possession, the game's second, to take a 7-0 lead. Campbellsville narrowed the deficit to six points with a 13-7 halftime score, but the Blue Raiders scored the first 27 points of the second half to seal the win.
Lindsey Wilson travels to Rockford, Illinois, to play four games March 20-21. Lindsey Wilson's next home game is April 1. Lindsey Wilson will play Campbellsville again at 6 p.m. CT on April 3 at the Tigers' Finley Stadium.
