COLUMBIA, Ky. (09/22/2025) — Lisa Holtzclaw sees her new role at Lindsey Wilson University as helping her colleagues find the right tools and information to better serve students.

Holtzclaw has been named the university's director of institutional research and assessment.

"I'm the data geek," said Holtzclaw, a Radcliff, Kentucky, native who now calls Campbellsville, Kentucky, home. "I am excited about the opportunity to serve Lindsey Wilson's needs in an office of institutional research and assessment."

Some of those Lindsey Wilson needs will include overseeing the university's data reporting to state agencies, such as the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education; federal requirements, such as reports for the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, commonly known as IPEDS; and work with nonprofit, private organizations, such as the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

Other needs include research to support various ongoing and special projects for university offices and programs.

"A lot of institutional research in higher education is analyzing data at various levels for various people throughout the university and providing them information they need so that they can do their jobs more effectively and better serve students," said Holtzclaw.

Lindsey Wilson officials say they are excited about Holtzclaw's addition to the university.

"We are thrilled to have someone with her experience in this position," said Vice President for Academic Affairs Ray Lutgring. "She brings a wealth of data analysis and reporting experience, and she has a good blend of both quantitative and qualitative skills. Just as important, she has a caring attitude and is ready to help our students."

Holtzclaw's experience includes more than two decades of service in higher education, which followed 15 years of work as a public health administrator. She has a bachelor's degree in public health from Rutgers University, a master's degree in public health from the University of Kentucky, and a doctorate in gerontology from UK.

"This is an exciting time to be at Lindsey Wilson, especially as the school celebrates its first year as a university," said Holtzclaw. "I look forward to being part of this historic year and well beyond."
