ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (04/25/2025) — Lindsey Wilson College and Elizabethtown Community and Technical College have signed a partnership to expand postsecondary education opportunities for residents in Central Kentucky.

The two schools held a signing ceremony on Friday, April 25, in the ECTC Regional Postsecondary Center to create a clear pathway for ECTC students to attend two popular Lindsey Wilson's academic programs on the ECTC campus.

The agreement will allow ECTC graduates with an associate in science degree in business to earn a Lindsey Wilson bachelor of arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting, human resource management and marketing; and ETCS graduates with an associate in science degree in human services to earn a Lindsey Wilson bachelor of arts degree in human services and counseling. Both Lindsey Wilson programs will be offered on the ECTC campus.

ECTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Telly Sellars said the signing is part of a "career four-year conversation" taking place at ECTC.

The agreement was made possible through the innovative ECTC Robbins University Center, which allows four-year colleges and universities to offer high-demand bachelor's and master's degrees on the ECTC campus.

ECTC President Juston C. Pate said the agreement with Lindsey Wilson provides students additional pathways to the job market.

"This partnership is another way we can provide another impactful opportunity for our students," said Pate. "You know that old definition of success -- it's what happens when preparation meets opportunity. We're bringing the opportunity and the path with the preparation."

Lindsey Wilson Vice President for Academic Affairs Ray Lutgring said he's excited about working with additional students from ECTC, noting that Lindsey Wilson first partnered with ECTC on human services in counseling in 2009.

"Lindsey Wilson values its longstanding partnership with ECTC, and this agreement builds on that partnership," said Lutgring. "This is a great opportunity for more ECTC students to complete their bachelor's degree at Lindsey Wilson and develop the commonwealth's workforce. We are glad to be part of the E'town community, and we look forward to supporting the students that will be part of this community's exciting future."
