Two Metcalfe County Residents are Student Leaders at Lindsey Wilson University

Whitley Gibson is director of campus outreach for Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association, Camryn Reece is a commuter representative student government.

COLUMBIA, Ky. (01/13/2026) — Two Metcalfe County residents have leadership positions this school year at Lindsey Wilson University.

Whitley Gibson '27 of Edmonton, Kentucky, is director of campus outreach, which is a position in the executive cabinet of the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. Gibson is a media studies with an emphasis in public relations and human services and counseling double major.

Camryn Reece '26 of Knob Lick, Kentucky, is a commuter representative in the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. Reece is a communication and media studies with an emphasis in journalism double major.

The Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association is responsible for coordinating student clubs and organizations, student development, and student leadership. In addition to serving as a voice for student concerns and needs, the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association assists with planning, promoting and organizing student activities and community service projects.

Lindsey Wilson University is a vibrant liberal arts university in Columbia, Kentucky. Founded in 1903 and affiliated with The United Methodist Church, the mission of Lindsey Wilson is to serve the educational needs of students by providing a living-learning environment within an atmosphere of active caring and Christian concern where every student, every day, learns and grows and feels like a real human being. Lindsey Wilson offers 28 undergraduate majors, five graduate programs and a doctoral program. The university's 29 intercollegiate varsity athletic teams have won more than 120 team and individual national championships.
